This page is a long list of links intended to provide historical information about transgender people, their places and roles throughout many societies, and the long term proof of our existence throughout history. Please feel free to reference this as you wish.
If you have suggestions for articles to add to the list, please let me know via comment, or if you have my Facebook or Email contact information, please feel free to let me know that way as well.
Thank you for taking the time to do this. Many will benefit from your efforts.
I collect bookmarks constantly. I realized I had a nice collection of trans related history bookmarks so I decided to turn them into a resource that others could use. I hope it can help someone someday.

Yes! Kapung khaf and thank you for your fabulous reference list.
In personal interest, the first article that I read was about Joanne Keatly (transitioning 50 years ago). Wow! A fellow classmate and alumnae from Stanford.
I was an out trans child since 1959, so yes, I totally relate to Keatly and what it was to be out five decades ago.
You have my Stanford papers that I sent to you. Yep, the 1970s were so different than today.
That Keatly article made the great point that trans did not start with Jenner.
Even considering current history (Jorgensen), we have been here for quite a long time. I shall enjoy reading the other articles taking the deeper historical fact that we have been part of societies and cultures world-wide since the dawn of humanity. After all, trans is a natural part of the world’s bio-diversity since the beginning of time.
