Second E3000 Session Results

As promised, I am visually documenting my progress with E3000. I forgot to take an immediate pre-session before photo so I grabbed one at the 1.5 hour break mark. By that time the upper lip was largely cleared and work had also begun on the lower right side of the chin but it still conveys the amount of facial hair which was about the same as session one. I was told not to expect significant decrease in facial hair overall until we’ve completed at least four sessions but I will remark that there were more small “bald” spots on my face this time meaning less overall hair total.

The above were taken February 13th, 2014, in Dallas. The before photo was about 1.5 hours into the session and the after photo was immediately upon arrival back at my hotel around 5pm.

  1. Hi- I will probably be going to Electrology3k in Dallas. Does the face swell up a lot immediately after the first clearance. I will be flying to Dallas from the Northeast and not sure how long i should wait in Dallas after my treatment to fly back home. What would you suggest?

    • You can fly immediately. With large amounts of hair, yes there will be swelling but it will be worse the next day so if it were me, I’d put on some moisturizer that has some foundation included (Neutrogena makes such as do other vendors) and just fly home ASAP. As the quantity of hair reduces, total facial injury drops so total swelling drops.

After six years since E3000, I’m just about done but I also have had extra stubborn facial hair. Most people finish a lot quicker than me. I don’t even shave anymore, but there are several dozen really stubborn hairs that I get zapped every three weeks at this point and after a year of max strength electrology, they are finally starting to dwindle in thickness and size.

  2. Thanks for the advice! I need 14 total hours for the first clearing so thats 7 hours on the day of the electrolysis. It might be 6 pm when i get done. Maybe from clearing #3 i can do that so im not too rushed. I will have to ice the swelling immediately so assuming a 7 hour travel time (flying & commute) back to my home i will have terrible swelling on my face because of not being able to ice.

    • They may also use two electrologists, one on each side of the face, when you have that many hours needed. Just depends on how busy they are. They used two with me for my first two sessions.

      Good luck!

      • Hi again! So i completed my 1st session slightly more than 2 weeks ago. I stayed in Lewisville for 3 days – took 14 hours for 1st clearing- with 2 techs working together for the most part. Its an exhausting experience… not sure how long my future clearings will take…have some ingrown hairs on my neck and i havent shaved since my clearing- im just letting it grow out and giving the skin a break… just wanted to send you an update. Thanks for thee advice 🙂

      • I’m pretty much “done” these days. I don’t shave anymore, though I use a leg razor to “nick off” one or two hairs between sessions. I consider myself to be in “maintenance mode” now and even these few remaining hairs are either being zapped or slowly dying. Note that sometimes a hair can be really stubborn and rather than killing the entire thing, part of it is killed, so they grow back slower, thinner, and weaker over time. Eventually these either die or dwindle to nothing as well.

Good luck with your further hair removal!
